| QUESTION: Model#H240000 / Z145/345 Year=1999 I have my spa set at 104 degrees but the heat indicator light is not on on the water is staying cool. The pumps are running. Would this mean that the heating elemnet
is bad? I also need a new union and seal for the heater and a red filter for the
lens in the spa if you carry them. Thanks much.
Answer: If the heater light is not on solid, its most likely the pressure switch. See: http://www.clearcreekspas.com/HELP/11478PS.html with help on adjusting. IF you need a new pressure switch, see at: http://www.clearcreekspas.com/pressureswitch.html Also try just removing your filter. If its not the pressure switch, likely its the board. But MOST likely, its the switch.
QUESTION: Z100 jacuzzi Hi, I am looking for a replacement for my in line power cord (20 amp with in incorporated GFCI in line).
Our Answer: Jacuzzi changed from a molded in the cord gfci to a attached gfci at the end of the cord. See the 20a at: http://www.clearcreekspas.com/electrical.html All you do is cut the old cord to remove the gfci. Then splice the new gfci like an lamp cord. Its easy.
QUESTION: i have the dial temp control 2500-152-31 JWB DIAL TOPSIDE. the jets and everything turn off and the control starts blinking. when its blinking non of the controls are functional. then in about 6-8 hours it comes back on like normal. pleae help!!! what does that blinking mean?
Our Answer: Probably a sticking pressure switch. BEST is to replace. See at: http://www.clearcreekspas.com/pressureswitch.html Second choice is to adjust. To adjust turn main power off. Remove wood access panel. You will see the 15" steel tube behind the control box; that is the heater. Screwed into the left backside is the pressure switch. It has 2 wires coming out of it. On the switch is a black adjustment wheel. Turn the wheel 1/3 turn (no more) clockwise. See if that solves the problem. If not, another 1/3. Reason for such little turning is if you turn too far, the spa will not heat. Turning enough might solve the problem but expect to replace soon.
QUESTION: Why would some of the jets work and some do not? Kind of a trick question I know. I have no clue on how to detect why some do and don't...or why some just push very little pressure.
Our Answer: On low, the water is following the course of least resistance to few jets will show a lot off water movement. On high, that should equal out. I have noticed on this model that the "captain's chair" will have jet that don't work or work poorly. What I have found, and this could be any jet, that the soft plastic 3/4" hose that feeds the jet can kink over time. Look at the plumbing and see if that is true. IF so, you can buy a 3/4" barb elbow and cut the hose right at the kink and insert and clamp down on the barb. Solves the problem. They tried in most cases to hold the hoses "up" to avoid but I have seen this commonly. I use to have a Z150 and had to correct myself.
QUESTION: I bought a pump seal from you and need to know how to get to it on the pump. I have the pump face open, but no idea what to do next. It's a J-pump.
Answer: Check http://www.clearcreekspas.com/JWBPumpSealandPumpAssemblyDiagram.html and see it that doesn't help.
QUESTION: INSTALLED CONTROL BOARD AND UNIT STARTS UP AND ALL IS WELL FOR ABOUT 30 SEC THEN THE 25AMP FUSE BLOWS --WHATS UP WITH THAT
Our Answer: The 25a fuse directly feeds the pump motor. Unplug the pump and replaced fuse with a SC-20 you can buy at Lowes. Power up. The pump won't come on but everything will "click" when you press topside buttons. The Z145 uses a 2 speed 115v pump, part 2500-255. If the pump (wetend) is fine you might get away with a new motor only. Typically I replace both but cost considerations you might opt for trying the motor only.
